Belen Farmers’ Market – 4:30pm – 7pm – Anna Becker Park – Come out and support our local farmers! Fresh fruits and vegetables will be available at the Belen farmers market.
Saturday, September 14th
City of Rio Communities’ Youth Appreciation Day – 10am – 12pm – Rio Communities City Hall – Games, arts and crafts – Youth Appreciation Day, with fun games and arts and crafts, will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Sept 14, at Rio Communities City Hall, 360 Rio Communities Blvd. The event is sponsored by the Rio Communities Optimist Club.
Open Meeting – Valencia Community Action Network – 3pm – 5pm – Meadowlake Community Center – The Valencia Community Action Network, a local nonprofit, will hold an open meeting from 3-5 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month at the Meadow Lake Community Center, 100 Cuerro Lane.
Music in the Desert – 3pm -Ka-Hoon Plateau Hame De Colquhoun – Get ready for a night of talent, karaoke, and stargazing under the beautiful New Mexico skies! Important Information: All performances at the venue are weather-dependent. The music portion is free for all campers.
Sunday, September 15th
Our Lady of Sorrows Fiestas – 9am – 6pm – Our Lady of Sorrows – La Joya – Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Fiestas in La Joya will be held on Sunday, Sept. 15, beginning will Mass at 9 a.m. After mass, music will be performed, with Sangre Joven from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Tori Murillo Band from 2:30-6 p.m. The raffle will be held at 6 p.m. Other activities will include food booths, live and silent auction items, a cake walk, a 50/50 raffle and children and teen games. The bingo finale will be for a trip for two to Laughlin, Nev.

Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – 11am – 3pm – Historic Tomé Jail – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
