Friday, October 25th

Miniature Show at Tomé Art Gallery – 10am – 5pm – Tomé Art Gallery – Tomé Art Gallery will hold its Miniature Show from Oct. 6 through Nov. 6 at the gallery, 2930 N.M. 47, in Tomé. The gallery, 2930 N.M. 47, Tome, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Blood Type Escape Room – 3:30pm – Belen Public Library – A crime has been committed. Detectives arrive on the scene to find an apartment with signs of a struggle. Belongings are strewn about the floor. A table and chairs are overturned. But there’s no sign of the killer. Can you solve the crime before they strike again? This event is sponsored by META and families of all ages are welcome, no RSVP is required. Friday, October 25th at 3:30pm at the Belen Public Library.

Belen Farmers’ Market – 4:30pm – 7pm – Anna Becker Park – Come out and support our local farmers! Fresh fruits and vegetables will be available at the Belen farmers’ market.

The Haunted Barn – 7pm – 11pm – Valencia County Fairgrounds – The Haunted Barn will be held from 7-11 p.m., Friday-Saturday, Oct. 25-26, at the Valencia County Fairgrounds. Come out to the Haunted Barn to have a local scare by 4-H and FFA members. Admission is $5 per person.

The Blood Field – 8pm – Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley (back field) – Come for an out of this world experience in The Blood Field! You must be 12+ to enter and the last entry will be at 10:30.

Saturday, October 26th

Roadrunner Festival 2024 – 9am – 2pm – Valencia County Resource Center – Craft Vendors, Car Show, Kids Carnival, Silent Auction, Poker Run, 50/50 Raffle and MORE!! Scarecrow Festival – 3pm – 6pm – Becker Ave between 4th & 6th – The 6th annual Scarecrow Festival will be held from 3-6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, on Becker Avenue between 4th and 6th Streets in Belen. There will be handcrafted scarecrows, craft activities, gourd painting, live music, Kids Jumpers, games, and food trucks. Costume contests will be held for adults, children, group, and best scarecrow.

Art in the Park Joining Scarecrow Festival – 3pm – 6pm – Becker Ave between 4th & 5th – Art in the Park will be joining the fun of the Scarecrow Festival! Come out and browse local vendors and food trucks!

Zombie Apocalypse – 5pm – Grease’s Pieces Smoke Shop – On Saturday, October 26th you are invited to the Zombie Apocalypse! This haunted house starts at 5pm and is free to enter. It will be held at 214 N. Second St. in Belen.

Fat Sat’s Halloween Bash – 6pm – Fat Sat’s Bar & Grill – It’s been years since we have had one! Dust off your costume and be ready to party!! 21 and over.

Nightmare on Becker – 7pm – 10pm – 513 Becker Ave – Dare to Face the Nightmare on Becker! A haunted house event brought to you by the City of Belen Employee Appreciation Committee. You’ll have a scary good time, and all proceeds benefit the city employee Holiday Luncheon.

Fright Night Party – 7pm – 11pm – Eagle’s Avenue – On October 26th, Eagles Avenue presents TJ Sanchez and Zia Soul for an unforgettable evening of live music, fine dining, and refreshing drinks from 7pm to 11pm. Invite family and friends, and dress to impress for a costume contest with prizes. $5 cover charge

Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – 11am – 3pm – Historic Tomé Jail – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
