Friday, October 11th

Miniature Show at Tomé Art Gallery – 10am – 5pm – Tomé Art Gallery – Tomé Art Gallery will hold its Miniature Show from Oct. 6 through Nov. 6 at the gallery, 2930 N.M. 47, in Tomé. The gallery, 2930 N.M. 47, Tome, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

Special Orchestra Performance – 3pm – 4:30pm – Belen Public Library – The Valencia County chapter of the New Mexico Special Orchestra performs on the second Friday of each month from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Belen Public Library, 333 Becker Ave. in Belen.

Belen Farmers’ Market – 4:30pm – 7pm – Anna Becker Park – Come out and support our local farmers! Fresh fruits and vegetables will be available at the Belen farmers market.

Saturday, October 12th

La Merced Moose Lodge Yard Sale – 8am – 3pm – La Merced Moose Lodge – Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 8am – 3pm. $10 Booth Space – bring your own tables and shade. To reserve a spot contact Shirley, 1-989-339-7169.

Fire Prevention Week Open House – 12pm – 3pm – Belen Fire Station #1 – Come join the City of Belen Fire Department in recognition of Fire Prevention Week. You can enjoy food, games, door prizes, and a LIVE burn demonstration. We will hold a chili cook-off where you can vote for the best chili!

Painting Class – 1pm – 4pm – Belen Art League – A beginner’s acrylic painting class will be held from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 12, at the Belen Art League, with instructor Judith Turner. The cost is $15. All proceeds will benefit the Belen Art League. Sign up at the Belen Art League, 509 Becker Ave., Belen, or call 206-619-9176.

Open Meeting – Valencia Community Action Network – 3pm – 5pm – Meadowlake Community Center – The Valencia Community Action Network, a local nonprofit, will hold an open meeting from 3-5 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month at the Meadow Lake Community Center, 100 Cuerro Lane.

Sunday, October 13th

Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – 11am – 3pm – Historic Tomé Jail – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
