Weekend Events November 15th – 17th


Looking for something fun to do in Valencia County this weekend? We’ve rounded up an exciting lineup of local events happening from Friday, November 15, to Sunday, November 17! Whether you’re in the mood for live music, a holiday craft fair, or some holiday shopping, there’s something for everyone. From community gatherings to cultural celebrations, explore the unique experiences our area has to offer. Here’s what’s happening this weekend—bring friends and family along and enjoy all that Valencia County has in store!

Friday, November 15th

Live Music @ the Belen Public Library – 10am – 12pm – Belen Public Library – Noblin Funeral Service presents Live Music @ the Belen Public Library from 10am – 12pm on Friday, November 15 and Friday, December 20. These will be free and open to the public. Cultural enhancement for Valencia County Elders.

Saturday, November 16th

Blue Star Mothers of Valencia County Meeting – 9am – Daniel D. Fernandez Memorial Park – The Blue Star Mothers of Valencia County meets at 9 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month at Daniel D. Fernandez Memorial Park in Los Lunas. Tell them about your service, family members, or friends’ military service so they can add them to their mailing list. Holiday Craft Fair – 9am – 3pm – Tomé Dominguez Community Center – A holiday craft fair will be held froomé Dominguez Community Center, 2933 N.M. 47. There will be crafts, treats, music and a food truck.

Art in the Park: Holiday Stroll – 11am – 3pm – Anna Becker Park – The last Art in the Park of the year will be the Holiday Stroll, come by and get your handmade gifts!

Celtic Coyotes Band – 3pm – 1st Presbyterian Church Belen – The Celtic Coyotes Band will be performing at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, at the First Presbyterian Church, 85 Manzano Expressway, Rio Communities. They keep the thread of Celtic music alive playing traditional music from Scotland, Ireland and more. A $10 donation is recommended. All proceeds go to the Belen Area Food Pantry. Dessert and refreshments will be served at intermission.

Special Needs Spa Day – 10am – 3pm – Blush Beauty – Blush Beauty will be hosting a special needs spa day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, at the salon, 210-A N. Main St., Belen. They can get a wash and style, haircut and style or just a style — all for free; It is all about them. They will also enjoy snacks, beverages and music. No appointment necessary.

Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – 11am – 3pm – Historic Tomé Jail – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
