Weekend Events June 28th – 30th


This may be one of the busiest weekends of the year! Belen’s All American Celebration, an excellent community theater production, a block party to celebrate 100 years in businesss, art, nature, and more! Keep reading to see what the next few days holds in and around Belen.

Friday, June 28th

ART – Family Time – Belen Public Library – 1pm

Belen Farmers’ Market – Anna Becker Park – 4:30pm – 7pm – Come out and support our local farmers! Fresh fruits and vegetables will be available at the Belen farmers market.

All My Sons – The Hub Community Theater – Belen High School Auditorium – 6:30pm – 9pm – All My Sons, a play by Arthur Miller. Presented by The Hub Community Theatre in the Belen High School auditorium. June 28, 29, and 30. Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7. Tickets $5/10

Saturday, June 29th

Sevilleta Horned Lizard Hike – Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge – 9am – Meet in the parking lot outside of the entrance gate at 9 am. I-25 to exit 169, then west towards visitor center. Bill Gorum will lead this hike. He can be contacted at (505) 582-9491 if needed.

Guitar Lessons – Belen Public Library – 10am – 12pm – Children’s guitar lessons will be held at 10am on Saturdays.

Art in the Park – Anna Becker Park – 11am – 3pm – Amazing Artists selling Their Beautiful Creations.

Woodlands ACE Hardware Block Party – Woodlands ACE Hardware – 11am – 2pm – You are invited to the 100th Birthday Celebration in Belen at Woodlands Ace Hardware on June 29th! In celebration of 100 years, come out to Ace on Saturday from 11am – 2pm for an exciting block party. There will be great giveaways, free food, music, vendors, and so much more.

Whistle Stop Cafe: Going to the Dogs – Fred Harvey Whistle Stop Cafe – 12pm – The Fred Harvey Whistle Stop Cafe at the Belen Harvey House Museum is so excited to sponsor the Valencia County Animal Shelter
on Saturday, June 29th. All Cafe proceeds will benefit the shelter dogs.

All American Celebration – Eagle Park – 4pm – Vendors, Food Trucks, Fun Jumps for ALL Ages, Live Bands, Fireworks!

Cornhole Tournament – Eagle Park – 4pm – 8pm – This tournament will take place during the All American Celebration!

The Den Grand Opening – The Den – 4pm – 7pm – Join us for our grand opening event! We’ll have several raffles, giveaways, live artists, and food trucks. We’ll also be hosting a motorcycle show with a custom metal art trophy provided by K1 Welding & Fabrication, and all proceeds will go to Blessed and Beautiful, a non-profit organization. Co-hosted by Loud Cloud Magazine!

Sunday, June 30th

Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – Historic Tomé Jail – 11am – 3pm – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
