It’s another beautiful weekend in the Hub City! Check out all of the events going on in and around Belen this weekend.

Friday, June 21st

Retirement Party for Bertha Flores – Belen Senior Center – 10am – Noon

Please join us for a Retirement Party in honor of Bertha Flores! We will meet at the Belen Senior Center on Friday, June 21st from 10am – noon. Wayne Gallegos will DJ and lunch will be served for seniors 60+.

Food Truck Festival – Belen Wal Mart Parking lot – 10am – 4pm

A group of food trucks- Double Cup, With Love Waffle, Som-Tin-Ta Eat, Ordinary Beautiful , & Rodriguez Mexican Food Trucks – are dedicating a percentage of their sales to benefit the Children Miracle Network.

Silvery Minnow Summer Reading Program – Belen Public Library – 1pm

Belen Farmers’ Market – Anna Becker Park – 4:30pm – 7pm

Come out and support our local farmers! Fresh fruits and vegetables will be available at the Belen farmers market.

Evening in Wonderland – Student Community Center 280 La Entrada Rd. Los Lunas – 6pm – 10pm

Get ready for a magical evening at our Evening in Wonderland Gala! Dress to the nines to charm the queen of hearts with your fancy threads. Cheer on our amazing local youth and catch the wise words of our guest speaker, D.A. Barbra Romo.

Saturday, June 22nd

Royalty Roundup – Community Fun Day – Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo Grounds – 9am – 3pm

The Valencia County Seriff’s Posse will hold a FREE Community Fund Day on Saturday, June 22nd from 9am – 3pm.

Guitar Lessons – Belen Public Library – 10am – 12pm

Children’s guitar lessons will be held at 10am on Saturdays.

Arts and Cultural District Progress Meeting 1 – Belen Public Library – 10am

Belen MainStreet Partnership is working toward Arts and Cultural District State Authorization by the end of the year. Our vision is a vibrant arts andentertainment destination for residents and visitors that is anchored in ourlocal heritage and builds upon 400 years of developing our unique culturalassets, creating economic vitality for our community while retaining ourfriendly, small-town atmosphere.

Belen Art League Paint ‘n Sip – Belen Art League – 6pm – 8pm

The Belen Art League will hold a Paint and Sip Saturday, June 22, 6-8pm. Tickets are $30 and include one free beverage from Black’s Smuggler Winery. Tickets available at Belen Art League, 509 Becker Ave. They may also be purchsed over the phone at 505-861-0217.

Sunday, June 23rd

Christafari – Calvary Chapel Rio Grande – 8:30am, 11am, & 5pm

Join Christafari as the guest worship artist at Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley. “Gospel reggae” pioneers around the world. We are all musicianaries, reaching the lost at any cost, and making disciples of all nations! We share the Gospel through FREE concerts and humanitarian efforts to approximately 30 countries per year!

Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – Historic Tomé Jail – 11am – 3pm

The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
