It’s another busy weekend on tap for the Hub City! Music, a Scavenger Hunt, Community Theater, the Farmers’ Market, and so much more! Keep reading to get all of the information!

Friday, July 19th

Live Music @ the Belen Public Library – 10am – 12pm – Belen Public Library – Noblin Funeral Service presents Live Music @ the Belen Public Library from 10am – 12pm on, Friday, July 19, Friday, August 16, Friday, September 20, Friday, October 18, Friday, November 15, Friday, December 20. These will be free and open to the public. Cultural enhancement for Valencia County Elders.

Belen Amazing Race – 11am – Starting at Belen Public Library –  Register or head to Belen Public Library for your first clue! There will be big prizes for the top three winners, and small prizes for other contestants.

Belen Farmers’ Market – 4:30pm – 7pm – Anna Becker Park – Come out and support our local farmers! Fresh fruits and vegetables will be available at the Belen farmers market.

The Not So Mysterious Disappearance of Cinderella – 7pm – Belen High School Auditorium – Time for our next show on the list! Join us Friday or Saturday night for the children’s performances of The Not So Mysterious Dissapearence of Cinderella! Tickets are completely free, we just ask you help spread the word about our little theatre! Follow The Hub Community Theatre on Facebook for more information on auditions and future shows! Doors 6:30 Performance 7pm

Back to School Dance – 8pm – 11pm – Valencia County Fairgrounds – There will be a dance at the Valencia County Fairgrounds on Friday, July 19th from 8 – 11pm. There is a $5 entry fee that benefits awards for the 2024 Valencia County Fair.

Saturday, July 20th

Blue Star Mothers of Valencia County Meeting – 9am – Daniel D. Fernandez Memorial Park – The Blue Star Mothers of Valencia County meets at 9 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month at Daniel D. Fernandez Memorial Park in Los Lunas. Tell them about your service, family members, or friends’ military service so they can add them to their mailing list. New Organization Meeting – 10am – 12pm – First Presbyterian Church Belen – Women Helping Women Through Education is what PEO strives to accomplish. This international women’s organization is looking to start a chapter in Valencia County. If interested in learning more, come to an organizational meeting 10 a.m., Saturday, July 20, at the First Presbyterian Church of Belen, 85 Manzano Expressway, or contact Kathy Gresh at 720-591-5170.

Yard Sale Fundraiser: Belen Art League – 10am – 5pm – Belen Art League – The Belen Art League, 509 Becker Ave., Belen, will hold a Yard Sale Fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, July 20.

Children’s Business Fair – 12pm – 4pm – Valencia County Resource Center – On July 20th, from 12pm – 4pm there will be a Children’s Business Fair held at 129 3rd St. Belen

Free Concert: Platinum Rose – 12pm – Jaramillo’s Body Shop – Platinum Rose with special guest, Dogwater will offer a free concert on Saturday, July 20th starting at Noon at Jaramillo’s Body Shop 1301 S Main St, Belen, NM 87002.

Sunday, July 21st

Joyce and Her Bluegrass Band – 10am – First Presbyterian Church of Belen – Joyce and her Bluegrass Band will be performing at 10 a.m., Sunday, July 21, at the First Presbyterian Church-Belen, 85 Manzano Expressway, Rio Communities. Dress is casual. Free. Dessert to follow. Everyone is welcome.

Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – 11am – 3pm – Historic Tomé Jail – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
