Blue Star Mothers of Valencia County Meeting – 9am – Daniel D. Fernandez Memorial Park – The Blue Star Mothers of Valencia County meets at 9 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month at Daniel D. Fernandez Memorial Park in Los Lunas. Tell them about your service, family members, or friends’ military service so they can add them to their mailing list. Guitar Lessons – 10am – 12pm – Belen Public Library – Guitar lessons are offered at 10 a.m. every Saturday at the Belen Public Library. Lessons are also free and open to the public, ages 5-15. Guitars are available for children to use during the lessons, and to check-out so they can practice at home.

Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – 11am – 3pm – Historic Tomé Jail and Casita – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
Monday, January 20th
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 31st Annual Celebration and Remembrance Candlelight Vigil – 6pm – Belen Public Library – The Martin Luther King, Jr. Candlelight Vigil that will be held on January 20, 2025, at 6pm at the Belen Public Library. The K-12 Art and Verbal Arts contest winners will be announced and receive their prizes during the event. The Art Contest will have prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Elementary and monetary prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Middle/High School.
Winners must attend the Vigil to receive their awards.
