Free Admission to the NM Museum of Natural History and Science – 9am – 6pm – NM Museum of Natural History and Science – The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science has announced free attendance for Valencia County residents and Isleta Pueblo members is returning throughout February, with the generous support of Meta’s Los Lunas Data Center. There will be a full slate of family-friendly events, exhibition openings and new Planetarium shows that Valencia County residents and Isleta Pueblo members can enjoy free of charge. Take a driver’s license or any other proof of residency to the museum’s front desk to participate. TODAY (Feb. 28th) IS THE LAST DAY FOR FREE VISITS!

“Immutable Windows” Exhibit – 9am – 5pm – UNM Valencia Campus – UNM-Valencia Fine Arts Galleries presents Josh Hughes “Immutable Windows” exhibition, which will be on display from Feb. 3 to March 14. A reception will be held from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, at UNM-Valencia, 280 La Entrada Road, Tomé.

Walk-in Computer Assistance – 10am – 5pm – Belen Public Library – Walk-in Computer Assistance is available for anyone that needs help with their computer or smart phone! All help is free. Book a 30-minute appointment with the circulation desk.

Saturday, March 1st

Guitar Lessons for Kids – 10am – 12pm – Belen Public Library – Guitar lessons are offered at 10 a.m. every Saturday at the Belen Public Library. Lessons are also free and open to the public, ages 5-15. Guitars are available for children to use during the lessons, and to check-out so they can practice at home.

Get Down and Dirty with Healthy Soils – 10am – 2pm – Whitfield Wildlife Conservation Area – In partnership with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, NMDA, and Valencia Soil and Water Conservation District, Whitfield Wildlife Conservation Area is offering Free training and Paid apprenticeships. Saturday, March 1st, 2025 from 10am – 2pm.

Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – 11am – 3pm – Historic Tomé Jail and Casita – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
