The Valencia County Fair is in full swing, there are art events, community meetings, the farmer’s market, a rodeo on Friday and Saturday nights, and MORE! Don’t forget to stop by the City of Belen Yard Sale on Saturday from 8am – 12pm, we’ve heard there’s going to be some delicious breakfast items for you to devour while waiting for the Parade!!

Valencia County Fair – 8am – 10pm – Valencia County Fairgrounds – The Valencia County Fair will be held the week of Aug. 18-25 at the Valencia County Fairgrounds on the I-25 Bypass in Belen. The Valencia County Fair parade will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 24, on Main Street from Camino del Llano to Aragon Road in Belen. The fair will consist of animals, vendors, food and more. Shaping Light: the Art of Glass – 11am – 5pm – Tomé Art Gallery – Tomé Gallery will exhibit a range of glass art. The glass art exhibit will run from Aug. 4 thru Sept. 4 , 2024 and will show a wide range of techniques in glass art.
E Pluribus Unum: Mogollon Belen – 12pm – 3pm – Harvey House Whistle Stop Cafe – The mobile gallery Axle Contemporary’s, E Pluribus Unum: Mogollon, will be visiting the Belen Harvey House Museum’s Fred Harvey Whistle Stop Cafe on Friday, August 23rd from 12 – 3pm. Visitors will be able to sit for a portrait with a personal object of their choosing. One photo portrait goes home with the visitor and another will be pasted to the outside of the mobile studio. City of Belen Yard Sale – 8am – 12pm – City Hall Parking Lot – The City of Belen Yard Sale is back! August 10th, 17th, and 24th from 8am – noon. Reserve your space to sell for only $25 per day! Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – 11am – 3pm – Historic Tomé Jail – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
