Halloween Events 2024


There will be a lot of spooky fun in and around the Hub City today! Check out our roundup of Halloween events below.

Halloween Event – 4pm – 8pm – Historic Tomé Jail – The community is invited to come trick or treat from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31, at the historic Tomé jail, 18 Church Loop, Tomé. There will be children’s games, and the jail will be open.

Grimm’s Halloween – 4pm – 6pm – UNM-Valencia – UNM-Valencia Campus welcomes the community to its first ever Grimm’s Halloween from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31, at the campus. Check out the fairytale-themed decorations and enjoy some trick-or-treating. No costumes required (optional) and admission is free.

Trunk or Treat – 4:30pm – 7pm – Anna Becker Park – Join the City of Belen’s Parks and Recreation Department from 4:30pm – 7pm for a spooktacular good time at the Trunk or Treat at Anna Becker Park!

Trunk or Treat – 5pm – 7pm – Secundino Baldonado American Legion Post 81 – All are invited to a Trunk or Treat event from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31, at the Secundino Baldonado American Legion Post 81, 325 S. Main St., Belen.

Harvest Fest – 5pm – Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley – Join us for a great time at this year’s Harvest Fest on October 31st at 5:00PM. There will be hay rides, games, food, and more!

Boo Bash – 5:30pm – Rio Communities Fire Station – The Rio Communities Fire Department Auxiliary is holding a Boo Bash beginning at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31, at the fire station, 108 Rio Communities Blvd. There will be spooky treats, drinks and games. Costumes are encouraged.

Bike or Treat – 6pm – Exclusive Auto-Moto Specialties – Exclusive Auto Moto Specialties is hosting a free, family event, Bike or Treat, at its location at 700 N. Main St., Belen, beginning at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31. There will be candy, costumes, motorcycles and a photo backdrop available.

Nightmare on Becker – 7pm – 10pm – 513 Becker Ave – Dare to Face the Nightmare on Becker! A haunted house event brought to you by the City of Belen Employee Appreciation Committee. You’ll have a scary good time, and all proceeds benefit the city employee Holiday Luncheon.

The Blood Field – 8pm – Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley (back field) – Come for an out of this world experience in The Blood Field! You must be 12+ to enter and the last entry will be at 10:30.
