2025 is here and along with the new year has come colder weather and event a bit of snow! This weekend is a pretty easy going one in the Hub City but check out what is happening below and you may find something to do!
Friday, January 10th
Special Orchestra Performance – 3pm – 4:30pm – Belen Public Library – The Valencia County chapter of the New Mexico Special Orchestra performs on the second Friday of each month from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Belen Public Library, 333 Becker Ave. in Belen.
Saturday, January 11th
Free Guitar Lessons for Kids – 10am – 12pm – Belen Public Library – Guitars are available for children to use during the lessons. Guitar lessons are offered at 10 a.m. every Saturday at the Belen Public Library. Lessons are also free and open to the public, ages 5-15. Guitars are available for children to use during the lessons, and to check-out so they can practice at home.
UAP Disclosure Talk – 1:30pm – 3pm – Belen Public Library – A discussion on the current disclosure of UAPs. A talk about UFOs or UAPs
Open Meeting Valencia Community Action Network – 3pm – 5pm – Meadowlake Community Center – The Valencia Community Action Network, a local nonprofit, will hold an open meeting from 3-5 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month at the Meadow Lake Community Center, 100 Cuerro Lane.
Sunday, January 12th
Historic Tomé Jail and Casita Open to the Public – 11am – 3pm – Historic Tomé Jail and Casita – The town of Tomé Land Grant invites the public to visit the historic jail and casita at the Tomé Church Plaza, 18 Church Loop. Visitors are welcomed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.
